Whimsy Stamps ~ September Release

Hey there crafty friends, I'm here with out fabulous September Release and I had the joy and pleasure of colouring up this cute Wee Stamps image Veritas as part of our September Wee Stamps Showcase. These images are not 'new' in our line up, as the whole range was released all at once when the range went digital. But we showcase a couple of these cuties every month and I really wanted to colour up this sweet and wistful image.

Those of you who have been following my blog will know I've had a couple of tough months and Mr Mojo up and walked off in the middle of all this. So I've been hunting ole' Mojo and in the process playing with different colouring mediums, just to try and rediscover my love for creating. With this cutie I went back to my Copics, the medium I'm most comfortable with and I really love the soft finish I managed to get with this image despite the strong colours I've used around it. The lovely beige and white stripe paper is from a Whimsy Stamps Paper Pad called Sweetness.

I went for a more fussy design with lots of embellies. I used a fun pan-flute embellie I've been wanting to use for a while now. She just looked a bit like she might be listening to a wistful flute play, with that far away look in her eyes. Totally made me think of Snufkin playing his harmonica. So the thought to use the wee pan-flute occurred.

I used a lovely chipboard sentiment which used to be stocked by Whimsy Stamps, they still have a few of these lovely embellishments left and I totally need to get some more, because Make It Crafty are no longer in business, so once they're gone, they're gone! I coloured up the top layer of this chipboard embellishment with a dark purple and added Wink of Stella over the top. I can never capture Wink of Stella properly in photos and the sentiment looks almost black in the top pic!

I created a little tag using one of the smaller dies from the Notched Squares Die Set. I wanted it 'rectangle' so just did partial diecuts each end to achieve the look I wanted. I added this into a little  kraft envelope pocket behind the image, which when I figure out who this will be for and what I want the tag to say, I'll add a white embossed sentiment.

We have a fabulous line up of New Release Digital Images this month at Whimsy, which you can check out via the link above. There are some super cute and fun Halloween images and of course we crafters will be thinking of Christmas again soon, so there are some cuties to help prepare for this.

I've managed to Lasso Mr Mojo, so there'll be more to share soon. Until then, have a wonderful weekend and fabulous coming week. Big hugs xoxo

This one ticks all the boxes for me Mrs!! I love the autumnal blackberry colour you have used and balanced it with the beige and white stripe. The burlap and muslin add a bit of country chic together with the kraft pocket and hark...I can just hear the panpipes drifting in!! xx
