Sweet Stampin' ~ Babies!

Hey there crafty friends, I've had a home day today, which has been SO nice! Just catching up on some sleep, some cleaning and some crafting. Just what my achy tired body needed. I even had time to make sure that I had a contribution for this week's Sweet Stampin' challenge! Too many weeks lately, I've not had time to craft for our challenges and I have to confess, I didn't make something 'new' for this challenge, but I've had this cutie waiting in the wings for this challenge a wee while, so I'm really happy to share this.

This sweet creation was for my little nephew Luca. I wanted my sis to have a 'Baby Book' just to journal little things that pop up when you have a little one, reminders of things said by the midwife, baby 'to do' lists, early baby memories. I used a journal like this when I had my kiddos and found it really useful to have a handy little jotting journal nearby. I had a real 'baby brain' in those early days, and found my little diary invaluable! I've made one for some of my other sister's too when they had their babies and for one of my besties. You might recall these ones I made earlier here for this same sisters first born baby girl, here for my lovely British pal and here for another of my sisters when she had her baby girl. They really do make lovely newborn pressies!

This adorable image is from Mo Manning and I so love this image, with the cute little floppy eared towel. My kiddos also had cute towels like this. A dino towel, a giraffe towel, so cute! I surrounded the image with some fun little diecuts, a mix of Magnolia Doohickeys plus some older dies I had in my stash. I went for a fun palette of blue and yellow influenced by the cute rubber duckies! I found the best paper to tie in the colours too, from a lovely paper set which I can't hunt down right now, so I'll come back with that detail. The kraft notebook bases, I picked up in my local printers, they had them for only NZ $5, which is really reasonable! That's like GBP £2.50 or US $3.50, so I grabbed a handful at the time! I still have a couple left, which is great, because I'm about to need another for my sister in law, who is expecting a little boy in the New Year!

I hope you'll come and join in our sweet challenge this week. I can't wait to see what others are inspired to do! My talented teamies have created some utterly delish designs, so be sure to swing by the blog to check those out! I'll be back shortly with another crafty adventure. It's our launch week at Whimsy and I'm playing catch up with my posting on IG too. Thanks for stopping in today, love it when you do! I'm hoping to get to visit my crafty pals this weekend too! Hugs and happy crafting, Wends xoxo

What a gorgeous gift, cute to look at and practical too. I love the sentiment on the ribbon and the sweet image is coloured beautifully. I know I would have used one, my brain turned to mush when my boys were babies...the night time feeds were absolute killers!! xx

Hi Wends!! What a GREAT idea...a journal for your sister!! When I worked as an RN in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit, I always suggested that mom's keep a journal (of thoughts, feelings, little details, etc.) And what a perfect image for the cover! Love your coloring! Thanks so much for joining us for this month's challenge at Mo's!
