Whimsy Stamps ~ Candy Hearts
Hey crafty pals, it's Friday and this week has spun past in a blur! I've been back at work all week, which was good having had last week off work. I've been especially tired this week, trying to get back into the swing of things. It was good to get back to 'me' again however, as it's never fun feeling so poorly. I did manage, one little creation while I was off work, which started out as just a bit of a play, to see how I could use these sweet images.
I initially digitally layered these hearts with the intention of using them as the sentiment portion on a card with an image. But I have the cutest set of 'mini' card blanks that I picked up recently at my local paper store and had them sitting on my desk when I was colouring up these little candy hearts. It suddenly struck me they could be cute as a centrepiece in their own right! I love how this came together, with a bit of ink blending in the background and some copic colouring on the candy hearts and just the right combo of clear sentiment stamps.
My sweet little nephew Stellan was born at the end of January, so I was thinking of him when I created this wee card. I've been poorly, so have had to stay away and I'm so craving those new baby snuggles! It will be such joy to finally get one. On that note, I'm heading for the couch, as it's been a super long week and I'm SO ready for some Sci-Fi time with hubby! Hugs to you all and have a lovely weekend, Wends xoxo
