Whimsy Stamps ~ Geeky Gwen
Hey there crafty friends, I made this extra card in March and I've not had time before the month ran out to share this cutie! She was created from one of the Whimsy Stamps March Digital Release images. This is Geeky Gwen from the Some Odd Girl Range and I think she's fabulous! I digitally edited the image to be a little bit shorter, basically cropped her legs and then added one of the sentiments that comes with the image and added that across the bottom of the image. Love how this came out and really happy with the look.
I've used one of the Whimsy slimline dies to cut the actual image out but shortened it a bit as I wanted it to fit a 6x6 card base. I used a gorgeous 6x6 paper from the Whimsy Blurry Flurries Christmas paper pack and then made the pink card base using some cardstock that coordinated well with her cardigan colour. I used a fun Whimsy Stamps Edge Die to create the heart trim across the bottom. I thought this would be a sweet addition to this card. This is such a fun edge die set, I'm thinking up my next make with this already.
I then used some 'waste' hearts from diecutting the Whimsy Slimline hearts background die for another make, to scatter around her. She reminds me of my hard-working little sister. So I think I'll tuck this away for her birthday. She's a big fan of pink and looks fabulous in it! So I'm really hoping she'll love this creation.
I used a little bit of blue glitter cardstock to trim the image panel, which I popped up on double sided adhesive foam for a bit of dimension. A very simple but fun card I think. I've had a gorgeous early Easter day today with my extended family. The kids had such fun on the Easter Hunt and I'm now thoroughly exhausted, so off to put my feet up and watch some Sci Fi with hubby. Enjoy your Saturday and I'll be back tomorrow with another crafty adventure. Hugs xoxo
