Sweet Stampin' ~ Happy 12th Birthday to us!

Hey crafty pals, it's our Birthday week at Sweet Stampin'! Our lovely challenge blog has turned 12 and though I wasn't there from the beginning, this has become a very place for me. We've seen friends come and go but lately have had several return, which is such a lovely feeling! We really are a gathering of crafty friends who just enjoy sharing our crafty creations through this challenge and we have such fun in the process! So happy birthday to us!

This gorgeous image is from A Day for Daisies and I absolutely adore it. I have a workmate who this image was beyond perfect for, so I created this sweet card for her birthday this year. The paper is from Kaisercraft, I'll have to hunt down which paper pad it is, but can't do so right now, as my craft room is in boxes still. I've coloured the image with Copic Markers and added the detail to the wood and I really love how that came out. I also love how the dress turned out paper pieced. I cut two possible paper options, but the other was too fussy, this was such a nice paper for this purpose and worked a treat I think! I used a paper doily and velvet ribbon trim so finish the card and a much older Whimsy frame die with the cute heart cut out corners. A simple but pretty card for a very lovely lady, who I'm missing right now as we've been on lockdown for months!
