Whimsy Stamps ~ June is Here, Let's Go To The Fair!

Crafty friends, time stands still for no man and here we are in June already! It is time of course for a new release at Whimsy Stamps and unlike last month, which was delayed due to shipping issues, the first release of this month is live and it's fabulous! But as you know, if you follow my blog, our Treasures team focus on stamp sets from our older stash, treasures you might say, that are too lovely to be forgotten as the latest shiny stash arrives and this month, we are sharing several fabulous stamps and die sets and different ways to use them, so I'm back with another creation using the gorgeous Gnome Fair Fun Clear Stamps Set by Crissy Armstrong. I adore Crissy's sweet images, they're always so enchanting!

I've had this fabulous Cosmic Swirl Rubber Cling Background Stamp in my stash a long while and when I saw the images for the fair, this sprung to mind to use with them. The Merry-Go-Round was always a favourite for me when I was little and has been for my own kiddos too, so I wanted to use the sweet carousel horse for this creation. I think the background is so mesmerising, very little else is needed and it's such a great pairing! So I kept it very simple, with the background stamped in red ink, a tiny banner sentiment added from the Gnome Fair Fun Stamp Set and some lovely gems to finish the creation.

I coloured the sweet carousel horse with Copic Markers and added some white gel pen details here and there. I felt it needed a little something else to finish the design and hunted through some of my embellishments. I found this lovely set of gems from Little Things from Lucy's Card called Dazzling, which included these silver flat backed pearls and this larger Dewdrop which is part of this collection, I thought it was such a lovely finish for this card. I am really loving the new confetti mixes at Whimsy Stamps, but I was waiting on a delivery and didn't have what I needed for this make, so used some stash I already had in my collection. I'll share some creations using the fabulous new Whimsy Confetti very soon. There are some super fun sets in store right now, I'm crushing on the cute little moo cow faces and milk cartons, so cute!

I'll be back soon with another crafty adventure. I'm still on a go slow, as I'm having to type one handed and crafting is much slower, but I refuse to let it stop me all together! So I'll be back again soon, with my next creation. Hope you're having a good week and in you're in England, enjoying all the Jubilee celebrations. We are celebrating Queen's Birthday here in New Zealand, so my youngest was off school today and has Monday off too. It will be a nice change of pace to have a couple of quieter days.

If you've not checked out the latest release at Whimsy, you can click through for a peek on the banner above and you can check out the elements I've used in todays creation via the thumbnails below. I've used affiliate links in this post where possible to help with tracking. There is no cost to you. Thanks for popping in and I'll see you again very soon. Hugs xoxo

This is a dazzling card Wends - as you say the background needed nothing much more other than the image.
