Whimsy Stamps ~ Roar My Babysaur

Hey crafty pals, I'm back today to share a sweet card I've created with the lovely Roar My Baby Saur Die Set from Whimsy Stamps. I got some new Mica Sprays for Christmas and used the lovely blue one, Winter Frost, for the first time, on this creation. I just love these Mica Sprays, they're a new crafty love for me since about half way through last year and I'm really enjoying using them. Winter Frost, is from the Christmas Set Three. It was fun to bust out this new Mica Spray for this make! 

I ink blended the background with a little Tumbled Glass Oxide Ink. The background stamping was done with Versamark ink and the AlFaDoodles Stamp Set. I used a lovely sparkly embossing powder from Wow called Blue Blast for the background stamping. I filled in the open spaces in the letters with a sparkly blue gel pen from Kaisercraft. 

I diecut a vellum heart to put behind the wee dinosaurs, then added them over the heart and layered glossy accents over the dinosaurs for a little dimension and shine. I cut two layers of blue cardstock for the dinosaurs and stuck them together to give a little bit of dimension before adding the glossy accents. I also added a lovely vellum wrap for the sentiment, to allow the background stamping to still show through. I stamped it in Versamark ink and silver heat embossed it, then wrapped it around the card base adding just a touch of glue under the stars. The lovely sentiment comes from the Shine Bright Clear Stamp Set from Whimsy. I cut the base panel with a lovely double stitched rectangle die also from Whimsy. 

I layered the whole panel over a foam base for dimension then added it to a blue top folding A2 card case to finish the card. I didn't want to add any bling to this, as the Mica Spray in the background was adding plenty of shine already. It's my little nephews 2nd birthday at the end of the month, so this will be going to him for that special day.
