Whimsy Stamps ~ Yeti For Christmas

Hey friends, I was so late getting started on my Christmas creations last year, I decided I'd get well ahead this year, so I've made my first Christmas creation of 2023! I actually find I'm super inspired to create for Christmas right after it's been, with all the lovely inspiration that's around. So I've coloured up this adorable image by Crissy Armstrong called Yeti For Christmas to start me off.

This cute scene, just makes me smile so much. Poor Santa and Rudolph look like they're giving it all their welly here, to no avail! I added those little starburst shapes to hint at the extra effort, like they do sometimes in cartoons. I used the Twinkle Cluster Stencil from Whimsy for this and some Stormy Sky Distress Oxide. I masked off parts of the stencil I didn't want to accidentally ink through, so I could do a focused section. Works a treat! My favourite tape for this is the Scrapbook.com Mint Tape. Sticky enough for the job, but low tack enough never to damage my project. I stamped a simple sentiment directly on the paper from another Whimsy Clear Stamp Set called Warm Fuzzies. This is a super cute set too and I'm hoping for some quieter days now, to get this set coloured up too. The paper I used is from the Frozen Slimline Paper Pack. The Winter scenes on the slimline paper are amazing and make it so quick and easy to whip up a fabulous Winter themed card. I am a huge fan of the entire Slimline Paper range from Whimsy, many of them feature these fabulous scenes.
