Brutus Monroe and Whimsy Stamps ~ Thank You Card

Hey crafty friends, a very quick card share today, to show the Thank You card I made for my lovely mum to give to her hairdresser when she moved salons. The access to his was becoming increasingly difficult for my mum, with lots of stairs and no hand rail, so I suggested she move to my hairdresser who is local to her and has easy access. She's delighted and had several wonderful cuts now, but she'd been with her previous hairdresser for about 20 years, so wanted a card to say thanks for all those wonderful years of beautiful haircuts.

I had picked up a set of Card Panels from Brutus Monroe which had such a lovely palette and I'm a sucker for fairytale toadstool scenes. I think this panel is just so lovely, the colours, the mushrooms and the ability to add whatever sentiment worked for your need. So I grabbed two of my fabulous word dies from Whimsy Stamps, to make the sentiment 'Thanks So Much'.

I diecut the sentiment from some lovely heavy weight cardstock from my stash, with a pretty sheen to it in a toning hue, and added a couple of layers behind it from plain white cardstock to add some dimension to the piece. I diecut the 'so much' from the same cardstock, but didn't back those words, as I wanted the larger 'thanks' word to be the feature.

I kept the rest of the design very simple, I just ran some Honey Bee Gold Ink around the edge for a touch of elegance. I paired this with a plain white envelope to let the gentle details of the card take centre stage. Mum was very happy with the card and though this will have been a bit sad for her former hairdresser, I'm sure her gesture will have been appreciated. That's it from me today, a quick post to share this sweet card and I'll be back again soon with another crafty adventure, until then, have a beautiful week xoxo

(I share thumbnails to the elements I design with in order to make your search for them easier, in case you like something I've used. I do use affiliate links where possible, and so appreciate if you use these when shopping. They cost you no extra whatsoever. I am proud to design for the companies I do and always feel happy to share where my inspiration and where my crafty stash comes from. I am occasionally gifted products to use, but I only design for companies whose products I absolutely love and buy for myself. My opinions are always my own.)
