Fab 'n' Funky - Hearts & Flowers

I swear time speeds up each year! I can't believe it's already February, and yep, it's time for our next challenge at Fab 'n' Funky. The funky chicks have all been working hard on their DT posts, so head on over to the challenge blog to see what they've been up to. Our lovely Pat, has chosen the theme 'Hearts & Flowers' for this challenge and we're being sponsored by the lovely folks at Craft Classes Online.

I have so many people to make new baby cards for lately, so I worked this theme into a card for a lovely friend who recently had a baby boy. She's really fun loving, so I went for a cheeky sentiment in celebration of the happy event. I used the gorgeous pregnancy image called 'About to Pop' by Krista Smith of Saturated Canary. I just love her pregnancy images. I've more cards to make, so I'm sure I'll be using another of hers very soon. I've yet to have another go at my wee newborn book and my sis is due any day now, so I'd better get cracking! As You Like It Challenge: Mat or Shiny & Why ~ Photos, I always choose matte not shiny, I'm not big on mirri card, I love glitter and glossy accents, but I love the papers to preferably have a matt finish. I'm not big on the whole shiny gold craze going on in craft right now, understated and elegant is my preference, not loud and flashy. So definitely matte!
