Sweet Stampin' - Spring Flowers

It's a big couple of weeks coming up for me as I've two special fellas who have birthdays in May. My little one is soon to turn 5 and I just can't quite believe how fast these past five years have gone. I so am going to be crying in my coffee when I take him to school on his first day. He has his second visit this Tuesday and was fine on his first, so I don't anticipate any issues there. It will all be mama issues! Speaking of mama issues, it's Mother's Day here tomorrow and my two littlies ran off with papa today on a very hush hush covert mission, so I'm rather looking forward to tomorrow morning! In the meantime, I thought I'd share a card I made for my mummy.

We are celebrating Spring Flowers at Sweet Stampin' this week and I made an easel card for Mother's Day for my mummy. Purple is her favourite colour, so I went all out on the purple hues and used a lovely purple organza ribbon to tie up the design. The beautiful image is Mother's Day, Daughter by Saturated Canary. I love this image of Krista's. It was really fun to colour.

I found a fabulous Etsy site some years back which made these gorgeous handmade buttons and fitting in with my purple theme and being heart shaped, I thought this button worked really well to be the anchor for my easel. I used a lovely sentiment which I picked up from the Ally Pally Craft Fair years ago. So appropriate for a celebration of family and motherhood.
