Southern Girls ~ Stripes

Oh dear, I'm late, I'm late for a very important date. Apologies for the late post, it's been a manic day with a few dramas thrown in. But it's time again for a new challenge at Southern Girls and we're rocking the stripes this challenge. So bring out all your fav' stripey bits and get crafting with us!

I made a slightly different Halloween card for my creation. I didn't want to go down the spiders and ghosts route, and our wonderful sponsors The East Wind had a super cute little witchy in their 'Unky Toons' range making her way in the world. I coloured her of course with my fabby Promarkers. Still my fav' colouring medium. I decided to pair her with a fun sentiment from Kenny K for my twist on the usual Halloween card. I of course had to throw in some stripes, so I went with a stripey paper and drew some stripes on her coat with a slightly darker grey Promarker. I kinda stripeyed the mushrooms too, by cutting them from some cobwebbed papers. I think it looks fun.

For some reason my card is a little pixelated today. I tried all sorts of fixes like downloading it in different sizes, but nothing helped. If you click on it though, it pops up and the pixelation disappears. Not sure why it happened, so if anyone knows how to fix this, let me know! 

I just loved the top sentiment which is from Kenny K's Halloween Sentiments Set. Don't you think it suits this image? I thought so! The bottom sentiment is from Ziggle Designs by Kami from her Daily Date Stamps digital release. I matted it onto a circle cut from the same cobweb paper as the Mushrooms to add a little hint of traditional Halloween feel in there. Those cute mushrooms are from the Autumn release of the Doohickey Magazine. I cut them from white card and then the red cobweb paper, which I paper pieced on top of the white card, trimming the stems to just have the red tops. Such a cute little mushroom die, I love it.
