Sweet Stampin' ~ Weddings/Anniversaries

Hey lovely blog pals. It's new challenge day at Sweet Stampin' and this week, we're having a Weddings/Anniversary challenge. So show us all your gorgeous Wedding and Anniversary creations, just remember to add some stamping to be eligible for the Top 3 spots.

One of my siblings just celebrated her 6th Wedding Anniversary, so I'd made up this sweet simple card to celebrate that special day. I actually had this image coloured up a while back (6 years to be exact!), as it was my intention to use it for their wedding card. But we had to travel between the UK and America for the wedding and it all got a little much with all the other balls I needed to juggle at the time, so I benched the image to be used at a later date. 

I found the image when I was rummaging through some of my stash recently and decided it was time to use it! So I added Stickles details to the flowers and created tiny confetti with the waste circles from the silver diecut border. I diecut a 6 from the same silver glitter cardstock and added a little distress ink to the edges to finish. I kept the design very simple, because I used the most delish Maja Design paper and didn't want to cover it too much! 

I find this wedding image utterly enchanting. I really need to use it more. It was so perfect for my beautiful lil' sis and her handsome hubby, that I really do wish I'd been organised enough to get the card finished for their wedding day. But it makes a sweet anniversary card I think too. This last pic was taken indoors under the spots, which gives a very warm hue to the card, the top shot had more daylight but the true colours of the card are somewhere between these two shots. I really must sort out a better lighting rig!

My beautiful sis very kindly agreed to allow me to put up a couple of pics of her and her handsome hubby on their wedding day, so here they are on that very special, very hot day in San Diego just over 6 years ago. It was a magical and beautiful day for all who came to celebrate their happiness.
