Fab 'n' Funky ~ Christmas

Hey there my lovely crafty pals. I hope your week has been shaping up well. My baby girl started highschool on Tuesday this week. I can't believe she's at high-school! Where have the years gone?! I'll post a pic of her at the end in her new school gears, it's a lovely uniform. We're kicking off our first 'Christmas' challenge of the year at Fab 'n' Funky and I've got a backlog of Christmas cards I've never posted, so I had no excuse not to join in this week!!

I used a rather gorgeous Vintage image I purchased a while back. It looks straight from an old postcard doesn't it?! I love the jolly happy face of this sweet Santa and it was such a doddle to craft with. No colouring, a few distressed edges and layers and hey presto, Christmas card done.

I used a Lil' Inkers Silly Stitched Die for the red mat. The white borders were cut with an older Martha Stewart Doily Lace Border Punch, the lovely Doily Star Die is from Marianne Design and the white enamel coated metal corner is of course an old Live & Love Crafts corner. I'm still sobbing that Sandy closed her store. One of my all time favourite places to shop!

The lovely tartan paper is from an 8x8 set by Craftwork Cards called Traditional Tartans. I bought my paper pad from Joanna Sheen. I love that she offers free postage the world over if you spend over 9 GBP. That's never difficult for me to do and it has saved me so much in postage! I love buying all my staples and the odd treat too from her. Really fast and lovely service too.

I wonder if you've already started Christmas crafting? Maybe like me, you haven't stopped! I find it's the only way to ensure I have enough cards come Christmas, so I love these opportunities during the year to add to my stash. I hope you'll come and join us with your Christmas crafting and I'll be back tomorrow with my Whimsy post, which is of course delayed a day this week, because it's New Release week! So I'll be giving you a taste of what's being launched this week in the digital section of the Whimsy Store. I'll be doing two launch posts, so do pop back for those. Hugs to you all and have an awesome week. Wends xoxo

Extra Content: If you made it all the way to the end of the post, here's my sweet Georgie, all dressed up for her first day of high school. So proud of this amazing young lady. She's such a cool kid and it's a joy to watch her growing up.

 I think it's a really lovely uniform

Cheeky thing came out wearing her headphones
