Whimsy New Digital Release ~ Day 1 ~ Bunny My Hunny

Hey there lovelies. Happy New Year! Yep, we've made it, we're officially in 2018. Our New Year was celebrated like a couple of oldies at home cuddled up on the couch, because I've been proper poorly with a chest cold. Not quite the fun we've had in our previous years back home in New Zealand. Summer has turned wet to boot, so I'm feeling less guilty about being stuck indoors. Who gets a cold in Summer?! Bah

I've been coughing so much my ribs and pelvic floor have been getting a good workout! But the upside is of course, that I've had time to craft! So craft I have and who wouldn't want to with this delish new Whimsy Stamps Digital release. I am IN LOVE with this sweet bunny from the new Love Me Tender digital sentiment set. How cute is this lil' darlin'?! I loved it so much, I made it twice! I'm hedging my bets with two new babes due in the next couple of months, that at least one of them will be a girl. I can always make blue versions later if not, hehe. 

I mounted the image with foam onto the gorgeous pink paper for a little dimension. So it sits up from the frame a bit. That beautiful ditsy heart paper I think is utterly perfect for this wee creation. It's from the new 'Seeing Hearts' digital paper collection. I wanted to keep the palette very clean and pure and didn't want to add too much to the sweet CAS design. I printed the wee bunny in a paler greyscale colour, so it had a softer finish and I picked out some soft pinks in my Copics to colour the heart and the wee bunny's cheeks and ears to tone with the papers. These were R81 & R85. I've shaded the bunny and the cloud with varying shades of the cool greys.

I managed to capture that 'camera shy' Wink of Stella on just the right angle tonight, to show the soft sparkle that's on the heart. I just love the simplicity of this creation and the clean white spaces. I can't wait to give these two cute gifts to our 'mummy's to be' at their baby showers in a few weeks time. I think they make a really sweet baby's room wall hanging.

Here's a closer peek at the sweet sentiment. I digitally recoloured it and I added a faint shadow. I want to break into song every time I read it! I utterly LOVE that John Legend song and this is such a beautiful sentiment to use on a new baby make. I'm pretty sure both my sister and sister in law will love this to bits too. I was so pleased when the paper and sentiment matched so perfectly after they were printed!
