Whimsy Wednesday ~ Day 3 of New Release ~ Wibbly Pig!
Hey there lovelies. It's Digital New Release Week at Whimsy Stamps and there are the CUTEST stamp sets in this release. I showcased a wee bunny on Monday for my first creation. If you missed that, scroll back to the last post. But today I have a darling lil' piggy to share with you from the same Love Me Tender set as the sweet bunny. I just HAD to colour this cutie up when I saw him, for two reasons... because he's just so dang adorable! But also, because it's about to be my mummy and her twin sister's birthday and her twin utterly LOVES piggies! She has the sweetest ceramic collection of these cuties. So what could be more perfect to celebrate her day, than this darling wee piggy.
I wanted to add a little interest to this creation, so I created this card as a 'rocker base' card. Which in itself is super cuteness, but add to that a little 'Action Wobble' and you've got a 'Wibbly Pig'! Hehe, I couldn't resist! It totally made me think of Mick Inkpen's sweet piggy character! I did two shoots for this card, one indoors, which is the softer warm light which shows all the sparkle really well and one outdoors in natural light which shows the colours better, but the sparkle didn't show as well. So here's the wee cutie below, in both lights. You can pop the pics up bigger for a better look by clicking on them.
Piggy was coloured with my Promarkers, as I've yet to get more pink shades in my Copics. His little sparkly heart was filled in with Nuvo Glitter Drops in White Blizzard. This is SO pretty. It's has all the sheen and sparkle of Stickles, but also the lovely dimension of Glossy Accents. I am loving using this new liquid glitter option. The pretty 'LOVE' paper I've used is from the new Whimsy Stamps Amour Paper from this latest release.
My mummy and her twinnie are going to 75 this birthday, so to celebrate that, I added a '75' in silver glitter to the card. This was cut from Tim Holtz Idea-ology self adhesive glitter paper. I find this very thin and tricky to work with, but it was perfect for this creation. I ran a line of glitter on two of the mat layers just for a little extra sparkle and bling. This was done with a glue pen and then loose glitter sprinkled over top. It's subtle, but oh so pretty in reality.
I used a really gorgeous Whimsy Stamps scalloped die to create that white frame around the piggy. I diecut the centre out of the scalloped layer, so that it could act as a frame for the piggy. It's in a fabulous Die Bundle right now, which won't last long, so nab it while you can! It's an amazing deal! Click on the DT logo below to head on over to the Whimsy Store to check out more of this gorgeous new release. There is a serious cuteness overload with this release.
Now I told you that this sweet card is on a rocker base, so you really have to see it rocking right?! The sweet piggy being on an action wobble, means he'll be rockin' and rollin' in celebration of my darling Aunt's birthday! It's a given I have to give you a lil' glimpse of that action. So click on the You Tube image below and enjoy this Wibbly Pig doing his thing.
I'll be back next Wednesday with my usual Whimsy Wednesday inspiration, which happens to be another 'new release' character. So come on back for that! Hugs to you all and I'll see you again very soon.
