Whimsy Wednesday ~ Fairy Pleased To Be Your Friend

Hey there my lovely crafty pals. I have such a sweet share for you today. If you follow my blog, you'll have heard me talk about how much I love Marina Fedotova's sweet images. I find them utterly enchanting. So you can imagine my delight when a short while after I joined the Whimsy Stamps Digital Design team a range of her beautiful images came out at Whimsy Stamps! Even better still, is the fact that every month since, there has been at least one or two new images from Marina in each new release! So I've been working my way through collecting these cuties!

This sweet stamp is called 'Make A Wish'. I have coloured her with my Copic pens and then added some glittery touches. I used Stickles to add sparkle to the veins on the wings and to her petticoat layer. I used a gold glitter Gelly Roll to add the sparkles to the wands magical flourishes. How sweet is that wee white rabbit?! I've added just a touch of cool greys to add shadows and dimension to this wee fella.

I love the simplicity of this creation. Clean lines and simple little finishes. So my style of crafting. A few embellies, but not so many that it covers the pretty papers! I used simple layers with a single fabric flower and a wee white feather to finish on the left of that sweet image. But even after I added the sentiment it was a tiny bit bare. I still had a little off-cut of dragonflies from a previous creation you might recall. They were the perfect colour too! So I added those to the top right corner and smiled a cheshire cat smile. I think they're such a perfect fit. That sweet wee sentiment was a from a Whimsy Stamps 'Thank You' gift that they often send out with bigger orders. I have a few, and they're not things you find in store, they're little gems of extras as a sweet thank you for shopping with them. Love that!

The dragonflies are from an older Whimsy Stamps die. I love how well my Whimsy Stamps dies stand up to the test of time. I have many and they never seem to date! I am still using many of my Whimsy Stamps dies from a great many years gone by. This sweet die is sadly no longer available, but there are so many gorgeous new dies at Whimsy Stamps, so be sure to pop by and check out their gorgeous range. There are some amazing specials in their Retiring Range, so grab a bargain while they're still in stock!

Thank you so much for popping by my blog today and I hope you enjoyed what I created. Head on over and have a lil' sneaky peek around the Whimsy Stamps online store. There is just SO much inspiration waiting there to greet you. I will be back on Saturday with my first creation for the September New Releases and then there'll be a whole host more gorgeous inspiration at Whimsy Stamps. There's a blog hop currently running with a fabulous opportunity for a prize pack worth $100, so head on over to the Whimsy Stamps Blog to find those details and get in to win! Hugs and happy crafting xoxo
