Whimsy Stamps ~ Too Cute To Spook!

Hey there lovely crafty pals. I've been having such fun with my 'Too Cute To Spook' creations for Halloween this year and it was a sweet surprise and treat to be given this gorgeous image to colour up from a new line at Whimsy Stamps as of a few days ago. This news isn't official yet, so you're getting a sneaky peek here. But this gorgeous wee fella is now on the Whimsy Stamps website and ready to purchase! Some of you may recognise this cutie from Pollycraft, still just as cute today as the first day I saw him and he was such fun to colour.

I was so reminded of my wee boy Zac when I saw this image. He used to have a Skeleton Halloween costume and really did look so cute in it! So I just had to colour this up when it crossed my desk. I'll share some pics of Zac in his wee skeleton costume at the end of the post, so click through on the link at the bottom, if you'd like to see that.

I've used Copic Markers to colour the image, then I've edged the image and sentiment with some Black Soot Distress Ink to give it an edgier finish. The papers were all edged with Black Soot Distress Ink before being stuck down with double sided tape. The image and sentiment were popped up for a bit of dimension on foam tape.

I've used those cute bats again from Little B Designs range of embellishments. I've none left now, sniff. But had such fun using them on this and my Batty LOTV card which you might have seen here. I'm keeping my eyes open for more, so if you spot them, let me know. They're sold out where I bought them. That lil' black cat in the left hand corner is also a Little B embellishment and I thought was a fun finish to this card.

I've used a sentiment which I thought worked perfectly with this image. I forgot to write down the file I pulled it from before printing, so I'll have to come back to you with that detail. But I think it's a great fit. My post is early by a few days, I usually do my Whimsy Stamps DT post on Wednesday, but we have our new release going live on Thursday, so I thought I'd post this a little early. I hope you have a wonderful Halloween. The kiddos and I will be trick or treating and then having Spider Pizza for dinner! Yum.

Do check out the fabulous New Releases from October, we'll have a whole bunch more for you in a few days as our November New Releases hit the shop, but in the meantime, there's loads of gorgeous inspiration over on our Facebook page from the October Release and I'll be back Thursday with my first post for the November New Releases! Eek, yep, I said November, how did that happen?!! Have an awesome week and for those that celebrate, Happy Halloween! Hugs xoxo

Halloween Skeleton...

For those of you who would like to see my wee laddo in his Skeleton Halloween costume with his sister and papa too, here are a few shots taken some years back now when the kids were little and Zac was still small enough to fit that costume!

He didn't have a mask for this costume, so my hubby pulled out an old 'Scream' mask of his from a costume party a few years back. Poor Zac gave himself a right fright when he looked in the mirror! He was only 3 1/2, bless!

The horse mask has been a great source of hilarity in our household, my hubby is a great fan of it, so this was his Halloween costume that year.

Too cute when my small boy wanted to try the horse mask out too. He was so adorable when he was little (still is of course!), but there's something about those toddler years that's just so delish.

Thanks for hanging in there right to the end! Happy Halloween, Wends xoxo
