Sweet Stampin' ~ Shenanigans & Malarkey

Hey there lovely crafty pals, it's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin' and this week we are having some St Patrick's Day fun, hence the title, Shenanigans and Malarkey! Now you don't have to create with a St Patrick's Day image, but there must be green in your creation if you don't.

I used some LOTV clear stamps to create this fun card for one of my hubby's besties. He is one of the cheekiest chappies I know and we absolutely adore him, so when this challenge came up I naturally thought of him, not because he's Irish, but because of his shenanigans. Needless to say there have been many years of shenanigans and malarkey with this cheeky chappy in our life. We love him and his family dearly and it's always fun to do something a little different for his birthday. I actually really love how this came together, right down to the woodchip keys that I altered with a little ferrous paint. It has a funny gritty texture this paint and is weirdly thick. But I think it worked a treat on these keys!

I had fun using the fabulous LOTV stamp set to create the background stamping too. They no longer do this as a clear stamp set, but it was fabulous for this creation, being able to use the stamps over my background paper to add a little interest! The set paired so well with some fun 'gentleman' dies I had in my stash. These are from a New Zealand company, I picked them up at a craft fair, but can't recall their name sorry. I'll have to update when I have those details. I'm off to do a little more creating, so many makes I need to be completing!

I hope you'll come and join in the fun with us this week for our St Patrick's Day celebration. Remember if you're not a St Paddy's Day crafter, you can create with green! We look forward to seeing what you're inspired to do. Hugs and happy crafting, Wends xoxo

FABulous masculine card Wendy, love the keys and twine for texture and such a great design..[my bees were from Ali express on my project.] I do not announce that on my blog as some do not like it.I get what I can afford and as long as it is not a copy I'm good with it.
