Sweet Stampin' ~ Wonderful Women

Hey crafty friends, it's International Women's Day tomorrow. Quite fitting that I'll have four little women in the house celebrating Georgie's 15th birthday! I am inspired by so many woman through history and also so many women in my life. My mother, my sisters, my dearest friends, we are so blessed to live in an age where our voices matter, where our opinions count, we still have a way to go to reach pay equality, but our age is a far kinder one to women now than the women of history. So we are celebrating 'Wonderful Women' in our post this week at Sweet Stampin'. 

I made this card for one of my very artistic sisters. This Stamping Bella artist was so perfect for her. But I really love the little encouragement quotes that came with a Simon Says Stamp kit which included this cool paper. She was needing a wee bit of encouragement at the time I gave this to her and I thought the wee words of encouragement might resonate for her. They read "the only limits in life are the ones you make", "it's either a good idea or a good story", "knowledge is power but enthusiasm pulls the switch" and finally and rather poignantly I think "no one has it all figured out".

I coloured this lovely Stamping Bella image called Abigail The Artist with my Promarkers. I often colour images and let them sit a while waiting for the right inspiration to strike or person to match them with. She was perfect for my sis' and I had fun creating this card for her.
