Whimsy Stamps ~ Dudley's Halloween

Hey there crafty pals, I've been so looking forward to sharing this creation with you, because I had such fun making it! We celebrated World Cardmaking Day with a series of fun tutorials and prize winning events over on Whimsy Stamps. I followed along with Faye Wynn Jones fantastic colouring tutorial for this cutie Dudley's Pumpkin by Dustin Pike and oh my goodness, she is amazing. It was so fun to colour along with her, but rest assured I had to stop and start so many times to keep up, if it'd been an old VHS, I'd have worn the tape out! Hehe.

I inked up the background for this cute creation using Catherine Pooler inks from the mini inks Spring Fling collection. I used the pink inks and the brighter of the green inks from the set, then some Black Soot Distress Ink to finish. If you'd like to know the Copic Colours used, check out Faye Wynn-Jones original creation as I used all the same shades, bar one, which was a close substitution. I think it was one of the orange colours I didn't have, so used the next number down. Worked out fine though, so phew! I highly recommend checking out Faye's Youtube channel, she has so many wonderful colouring tutorials!

I used a fun Digital Christmas stamp for this card, which I thought fit really well for this make, despite being for Christmas! I printed it on a laser printer then foiled it with a wonderful Rainbow Foil from Deco Foil by Thermo O Web or it might have been the Rainbow Shattered Glass Foil, I have both and can't recall 100% which one I used! Doesn't show well in the pics, but is so lovely up close, pretty sure it was the latter actually.

I will be back with another crafty adventure very soon. Life has kind of whizzed by this week, so much to do and never enough hours in the day! Hope you're all staying safe and well. I have three Halloween creations to share with you tomorrow, which I've shared already over on the Sweet Stampin' challenge blog as we started our 'All Hallow's Eve' challenge tonight, so watch for those! Hugs and happy crafting xoxo
