Sweet Stampin' ~ Pretty in Pink
Hey crafty friends, it's time for another challenge at Sweet Stampin' and I'm here tonight with a cute creation I made for a friend a while back when she had their second little one. Our theme for the challenge this time is 'Pretty in Pink' and I've used all sorts of pinks on this creation.
I've ink smooshed the background before diecutting it, with some pink and peachy oxide inks. I chose pink and orange sequins and some little white star sequins for a bit of fun and a pop of colour behind the vellum shaker windows. I like how soft the vellum made the shaker colours. I chose very bright orange sequins, knowing they'd be muted by the vellum. I used lavender and pink pencils to colour the sweet elephants and paired the card with a lavender envelope to finish, which I made using a Whimsy Stamps envelope die. It's so easy and great for that special make, when you want to coordinate the envelopes with the card.
The sweet image is by Aida Zamora for Mama Elephant. I love her enchanting images and had fun colouring this up. I'm not skilled with pencils, but really enjoyed trying them for this make. I need to do more practice with pencils, time for another pencils make soon I think. The frame for this card was 'left overs' from a previous creation I made which you can see here. You know me, I never throw anything away! It was fun to find a sweet use for the frame on this card and I really like how it came together.
This was my friends second bub, so the sweet sentiment 'One More To Adore' was perfect. I cannot recall which set this sweet sentiment is from, when I find it, I'll update that information. I was happy with this cute shaker card in all it's pinky tones for a new baby make. I chose a shaker, because I thought it would be fun for the 'big sister' too. Something she too could share the joy in receiving.
Thanks for popping in to visit, I hope you enjoyed seeing my new baby shaker card and hope you'll come and join us too for our 'Pretty in Pink' challenge at Sweet Stampin'. I'd love to see what you're inspired to create. Do click through on the linked banner above to check out what my talented teamies got up to for this challenge too. Hugs and happy crafting, Wends xoxo

As You Like It Challenge: Pastels or Brights? Ooh this is tricky, I love colour, bright or subdued, but if I'm pushed I'd say I prefer muted soft tones, so I'm going to go for the pastels option.
