Whimsy Stamps ~ Happy St Patrick's Day, Hop With Us!

Hey crafty friends, as promised, I'm back today with our St Patrick's Day Hop details. We are having a fun hop in celebration of St Patrick's Day over on Instagram. The hop begin @whimsystamps and concludes on my Instagram page. We have 20 stops in the hop so there's loads of fun St Paddy's Day creations and shenanigans to explore. There is also a wonderful prize up for grabs on Instagram and a second prize for a lucky commenter on our Whimsy Stamps Video Channel. So if you're not on Instagram, be sure to stop by there for Tami and Bea's wonderful St Patrick's Day tutorials. This is a fun way to include those not on Instagram.

I have shared three cards in my post, which show the previous card I shared yesterday (because that was MY St Patrick's Day) and this fun shaker card, which I created a fun ink blended background for, you can see through the open shamrocks the splatter and ink. I used a wonderful shaker mix for this card from This Calls For Confetti aptly called St Patrick's Day. The mix of gold confetti, little green clay shamrocks and other fun shapes and confetti pieces make this a fun and interesting mix for a St Paddy's Day card. It's so satisfying to give them a good shake around too!

The front panel was diecut from a slimline green page from Scrapbook.com paper pad, which I ink blended the edge just lightly to give a little colour interest to the front panel. I didn't want to do too much to the front panel as I want the eye to be drawn to the blended background through the shamrocks. So I kept it quite plain. I coloured up that cute Leprechaun from a Crissy Armstrong Stamp Set with my Copic Markers, made him a redhead of course! I finished this shaker card with a wrap of some May Arts Fine Twine and added a cute red bloom for a little extra pop of colour.

I adhered it all down to a slimline white card base and it was all set to go for our fun St Patrick's Day Hop. I shared all three of the St Patrick's Day Inspired creations I made for the hop, which I'll show below. All quite different and all so fun to make and in my favourite colour too, so you know I was in my happy place!

I do hope you'll be able to join us for the hop, if not on Instagram then on Youtube with Tami and Bea who share their wonderful St Patrick's Day tutorials with us there.

I will be back soon with another crafty adventure, until then, happy hopping and Happy St Patrick's Day, you can follow the link in the banner above to the first stop in the Instagram Hop. Hugs, Wends xoxo

I do use affiliate links where possible, which gives me a tiny commission but costs you no extra whatsoever, though more importantly it helps the companies I design for to improve their marketing practice and track my contributions. I am deeply grateful if you use them for these reasons. I only design for companies whose products I absolutely love and buy for myself. My opinions are always my own.)
