Whimsy Stamps ~ Batty for Summerween

Hey crafty friends, I'm back with two more fun makes from the Summerween Release at Whimsy Stamps. This time I've used two of the Quick Card Fronts from the cool Summerween Collection. I've pulled out a bunch of my spooky stamp sets from Whimsy Stamps to finish these Quick Cards off. Love how these little alterations elevate the finished designs.

Check out this cool dude, he's such a vibe! I've used one of the fun sentiments from the Something Wicked Clear Stamps which I think is kinda perfect for this dude. I wanted to 'finish' the sentiment with 'for Summerween', so pulled out the Many Thanks Clear Stamps Set so I could use the word 'for' and then used the 'Summerween' word from the Summerween Vibes Clear Stamp Set to finish off the sentiment. I also used the bats stamp from the Something Wicked Set to add a little more batty magic to the scene. I used the Outline Stitched Border Die from the Honeycomb Die Set to diecut the simple stitched border. I added the Quick Card Front to a card base scored on the long side so it opens with a top fold. I used a lovely cardstock in a warm caramel brown with a lovely shimmer for the card base.

This adorable scene really doesn't need much else to complete it, but I did have fun adding some cute extra details! You may recall the card I shared yesterday with the stamped version of this character. I find him so adorable! I wanted to add a little more to this design, but as I said it doesn't need much. I stamped a little kitty friend on the shore and a few bats in the air. I used the Witch Broom Sale stamp set for the kitty.

I used a mix of bats from different stamp sets, the two little ones at the top are from the Halloween Bitty Borders. The bigger bats, I took from the Ghost Party Stamp Set. The tiny bat in the middle I stamped after masking off the 'Just Arrived' sentiment, to isolate one of the small bats from the Witch Broom Sale Set. I also gave this cutie some Spider Cider complete with a lil' dangling spider off the side of his glass! The spider is also from the Witch Broom Sale set and I drew in the little silvery spider thread with a gelly roll sparkle pen. The sentiment is from the Cutie Batootie Clear Stamps Set, which I think sets the scene here so brilliantly! I diecut the panel with the pretty Sprinkles Scallops Rectangle Die Set and mounted it with a bit of low loft foam onto an A2 piece of shimmer cardstock in a slightly lighter shade to the previous cardstock used on the creation above, but still with a lovely shimmer to the cardstock.

(I share thumbnails to the elements I design with in order to make your search for them easier, in case you like something I've used. I do use affiliate links where possible, which gives me a tiny commission but costs you no extra whatsoever. It helps the companies I design for to improve their marketing practice and track my contributions. I am deeply grateful if you use them for these reasons. I am proud to design for the companies I do and always feel happy to share where my inspiration and where my crafty stash comes from. I am occasionally gifted products to use, but I only design for companies whose products I absolutely love and buy for myself. My opinions are always my own.)
