Sweet Stampin' ~ CAS

Hey there crafty pals, what a week! I've had my wee lad home poorly a couple of days this week and hubby has come down with it, but I've started a new job on Thursday and can't afford to be ill!! So off to the health food store in a minute for some immune boosting Olive Leaf! Typical isn't it?!! Today though, I can put up my feet a little as it's Saturday and other than a Girls Night In, with some of my besties this evening, I've nowhere to be. Saturday, means it's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin' of course and although it's not my week to play, I really wanted to play along with this fab Penny Black stamp.

I just LOVE this awesome stamp and so hope I can make a few more creations with this soon. My wonderful London, I miss those days in my life, I miss it still! 13 years was a long time to live there and it remains in our hearts. So I loved making this fab CAS creation for a friend of ours who has also lived in London. The base paper has a wonderful texture and looked fab I thought, just with the stamp on it, no colouring. So I left it that way. I had that fabulous tartan frame knocking around and in one of those 'inspired' moments wondered if they might work together. It was a perfect fit for the card base and I really felt it needed nothing more! As CAS as it gets!

The Team Susan Sweeties are so awesome and their creativity always amazes me, so go check out the gorgeous line up by the rest of the DT. I had fun playing along this week and I'll be back again soon with another crafty adventure, so stop back again soon. Have an awesome weekend. Hugs, Wends xoxo

Absolutely love this! The stamp is gorgeous and I love that you paired it with the tartan frame, perfect finish! I lived in London in my single days so my memories are not as fond as yours! haha! I do have fond memories of our time in Scotland, so of course I love all things tartan!
Hope you're having a lovely weekend and the new job is going well!

A wonderful card Wends - The simple black and white is really dramatic!
I do hope you avoid the lurgy - Olive leaf is amazing. Both the local families here have had the lurgy, right through their homes with no exceptions!!
