Whimsy Stamps ~ Windy Day Cinnamon
Hey lovely friends. I've had a busy week and grey weather here which hasn't been great for taking photos. So I've been chasing the light trying to get this cutie captured. I finally pinched hubby's phone which has the forced perspective portrait mode and caught some sun this afternoon.
I've used my current favourite frame die to create the lovely notched corners of this card. Layered some pretty patterned paper that toned well with the colours I chose to ink this cutie up in and added a strip of silver ribbon across the centre of the card before adding the image popped up on thick foam.
I liberally added Glossy Accents to the wee hearts I'd cut around the image to make them shine and add a little interest. I used a wonderful die which was an element in a Whimsy Stamps set, sadly now out of stock. The set was a Card Builder set called Hearts of Love. It had really interesting stitched and die-cutting hearts elements to it. I love this sweet set. I've also used another really old die for this make too which was called Country Heart Die. This really is one of my absolute favourite dies. I used it still so much after all these years. This is the great thing about buying 'classic' stash. It just really never dates!
I used silver glitter paper adhered onto cardstock to create the heart and 'hugs' diecut word sentiment elements. They sparkle much better in good light, but as I said, I've been chasing the light the past fews days trying to capture this cutie. So I gave up trying to capture that element, just trust me it shines better than the pictures show.
The adorable image I've used for this creation is from the Rustic Sugar Range at Whimsy Stamps. This stamp range has been around for a while but is new to the Whimsy Stamps Digital Vault and as with the dies I've used, is a classic that just doesn't date, still as lovely today as the first time I saw them. I loved these when I first discovered them and so it's been a great pleasure and honour to colour up the cover art for the range when it joined Whimsy Stamps. Classic cuties and this one called Windy Day Cinnamon is no exception. Doesn't she just look so sweet, lost in a happy, heartwarming thought.
