Southern Girls ~ Anything Goes

Hey my lovely crafty pals, we're a little late with the Southern Girls post this week, because the DT are in Christmas mode! But here we are, better late than never. Our challenge is an 'Anything Goes' challenge this fortnight and we have two wonderful sponsors. Krafter's Cart our wonderful New Zealand based craft store and Colour of Love, which is the new name for Heather Valentin's wonderful images. Two amazing sponsors this challenge!

I've created a card for one of my Mum's lovely besties special big birthday using a gorgeous Altenew set. It's one of my absolute favourite Altenew sets and I've used it a number of times now, here and here. I've used a lovely rose gold number set to acknowledge her birthday milestone and then added a pretty doily behind the rose cluster, a couple of golden scrolls and a glitter 'celebrate' sentiment. The sparkle of the actual card-base and envelope shows nicely in the pic below.

The flower and leaves were stamped in three different shades of each colour to achieve the pretty stamped effect. I really love how these look and how easy it is to do! I really should use this set more! My inks were not 'perfectly matched' like the actual altenew sets, I just used what I had in my stash that was 'close enough' to achieve a pretty look and I really am happy with how it came out. Mum's bestie really loved it too! The beautiful paper is from Pion Design, which is a range of stunning Swedish papers.

Team Lou are rocking the inspiration this fortnight, so be sure to head over to the challenge to check out my lovely teamies creations. I'll be back again soon with another creation, but just between you and me, December is flying past WAY too fast and I'm struggling to get everything fitted in, so I'll be back as soon as I can. Hugs, Wends xoxo
