Whimsy Stamps ~ Friendship Knows No Distance

...and I'm back! I know, I've been so quiet lately, but there's been so much going on for me with family and I've just not had time to be creative or to blog, so tonight is 'catch up' time for me! So here, is my next creation, which I had just as much fun creating as the first one I share with you earlier. These floral images really are stunning and I think I'll have to colour both these florals in different shades in the near future. They're so lovely to colour!

I used the same paper pad as I did for the previous creation. This pad is full of not just gorgeous florals, but fabulous plain stripes too! I used a fawn stripe for the previous card, for this one, the striking black stripe was exactly what I was after! There's so much colour in this bloom, I thought the black stripe accented it perfectly. I used a shaped die to cut the sentiment, which I liked the simple finish it gives with that soft rounded end and the main image, I used the same scalloped edge die from a new fancy oval set from Whimsy. It worked a treat for this card I think. It's hard to see the detail in the twine I used, but it has a flash of hot pink sparkle twisted with the black and it's a subtle but fun finish for this card.

I wanted to create the multicolour hues you see in Hydrangea, so threw a lot of different shades of pink at this to create the differing hues. No expert hand, just playing and trying things. But for a first try, I'm pretty happy with it. I added a touch of Wink of Stella to the bloom centres too for a touch of sparkle, which doesn't show in the main pic, but I managed to capture, in this shot.

Thanks for popping in to see my latest creations, I hope you liked them both. I'm definitely going through a 'floral' stage right now, which worked well for topping up the bosses requested pile of cards! Elegant florals are definitely more her thing than my cutesy cards. So these last two went to her. I'll be making more for myself though, how gorgeous is this Hydrangea?! I just love it! We have a beautiful blue Hydrangea that grows around our family beach house, so I think I'll have to try those hues next.

I'll be back with another crafty adventure soon, I've made so many I've yet to share! It's just finding the time to blog at the moment. I'm off to help my mumma tomorrow who was in hospital last week, so my days are full. But I send you all hugs and wishes for a beautiful week and hope to catch up again soon xoxo

Beautiful design, the bold stripes of the background are perfect with the beautifully coloured hydrangea, so many shades of pink here-! Ido love hydrangeas we have loads in our garden, the blues are my favourites so looking forward to seeing your version.
Hope your Mum is feeling better now, look after yourself too!
