Whimsy New Release ~ Beachy Keen

Hey lovely crafty pals. I'm a little late sharing my new release post for Whimsy. It's just the nature of my life right now! But I've been looking forward to sharing this cutie, as I've combined to fabulous stamps to create this and I think it came out so sweet.

This cutie is from our latest digital release drawn of course by our amazing Crissy Armstrong. Her images are just so so sweet and I really loved colouring up this cutie. I decided to combine it with the sweet pond scene that Emma Lynn created recently. Man that kiddo, she's for sure one to watch! Talent extraordinaire!! It is meant to be a pond scene with grass and other lush greenery, but I wanted to suggest, it was a lil' man made beach scene. We had a few of these in and around London, that had sand added to gave kiddies a beach like playground to play in. So that's what I was going for. A sandy pond, hehe.

I added it popped up on thick foam to a nice woodgrain paper and then straight onto the card base, keeping a very minimalist look. The only 'extra' was the sentiment which I stamped from a lovely Whimsy Clear Stamp Set called Enjoy The Little Things. A simple finish, but worked so well I think with this image.

We have such a gorgeous range of images on offer this month, with a mix of brand new especially for the Digital Range and re-released in Digital, that were previously rubber images. I love the benefits of digital, it really is such a great medium to work with. It was fun merging these two images above to create this sweet scene. I'll be back I hope before too long. Life it still crazy full right now and I'm finding it hard to keep up, but I'm trying! Big hugs and happy creating xoxo
