Whimsy Stamps 2022 ~ Showcasing Whimsy Treasures!
Hey there crafty pals. I'm here today to share the first of our brand new team, the Whimsy Stamps Treasures, creations. This team was created to showcase those gorgeous bits of stash from previous releases, sharing tips and tricks for their use. There are so many gorgeous stamp and die sets in our Whimsy line up and so the Treasures Team will be sharing and showcasing these gorgeous sets to bring new ideas and fun innovations to these fabulous bits of stash.
The team will be sharing regular posts in our Whimsy Stamps Facebook Group featuring some specially chosen elements that we will all work with over the next couple of months and I'm so excited to share our ideas with you. Here is my first creation featuring one of our truly adorable stamp sets called Marshmallow Wishes by Krista Heij-Barber.
I've created this cute card by first ink blending the background with Aged Mahogany, Crackling Campfire and Candied Apple Distress Oxide Inks, which I then splattered with water and some watered down frost pigment ink. I diecut a frame from Neenah Solar White Cardstock using the Whimsy Stamps Peekaboo Window Die 2. I created shaker windows in all the apertures and filled the two without images with a mix of translucent white sequins, iridescent gems and little silver heart sequins. To mix it up a little, I used a mix of iridescent star sequins and silver star sequins behind the Happy Large Word Die Cut.
This large word die is one of my favourites from Whimsy Stamps, it fits so many occasions. It could be a birthday, happy to see you, you make me so happy, and the list goes on! I cut the word from a wonderful iridescent metallic cardstock, that shimmers and changes colour in the light, it's such a cool effect. It's extra fun, when making the shaker elements rattle, to have the light shift and play on the Happy word.
I used a stardust gelly roll pen to add the sparkle and shine to the snowflake on the teacup, to finish that cute image. The images were coloured with Copic Markers and popped up on foam over the acetate windows. I'll be back with some more fun adventures with this cute stamp set very soon. I'm a big fan of Krista Heij-Barber's images and she has a really lovely range at Whimsy Stamps, full of cute, endearing images like this. Whimsy has launched their first New Release for this year, which you can check out via the linked banner below. It's going to be a great crafty year, I can feel it!
I hope you enjoyed your visit today and I'll be back soon with another crafty adventure. Until then, hugs and Happy New Year! xoxo
