Fab 'n' Funky - Christmas
Oh my goodness, this week has whipped by in record time! I have been especially busy these past couple of weeks, with a little man turning 5! We had a graduation and farewell ceremony with his Playcentre friends, then of course starting school. He's coped so well with that, I'm really proud of his transition from preschooler to big school boy. We celebrated his birthday with family friends and then had a big party for Zac a week after he started school, so it's been full on for the past two weeks preparing and hosting these events. But so many lovely memories were made. It's been a very special time. Yesterday was my hubby's birthday and we have his folks visiting this week, so things haven't slowed down yet. My poor hubby was so poorly on his birthday though, he was barely up. But we'll be having a special dinner tonight to celebrate. At least he managed cake and candles! The kids would have been so sad not to do that on papa's birthday.
It's time for a new challenge at Fab 'n' Funky and our lovely hostess this week is Wendy. It's our Christmas challenge this week. Are you getting ahead with yours? I've managed to put a few together the last couple weeks, so I'm glad of that. I've used a sweet Lili of the Valley image for my make today which is sadly now retired. I've coloured the image with my Promarkers.
Pretty simple card really, some pretty Christmas paper from the Papermania Home for Christmas collection, a doily, a fun Marianne Design diecut sentiment called Winter Wishes, a sweet Joy Crafts Snowflake die and a 'wax seal' sticker I bought in Sweden, which says Merry Christmas in Swedish. I edged all the papers with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, added some Stickles to the snow and a little Marvy Uchida Snow Marker to the little Santa Mouse's coat and hat. Finally I added a little red sticky back pearl to the sentiment to finish the card. Sweet and simple.
Our sponsor for this weeks challenge is Di's DigiStamps, so the winner is in for a super cute prize. Do come and join our fun challenge this week and get ahead with your Christmas crafting. I'll be back soon with my next crafty adventure. In the meantime, head on over to the Fab 'n' Funky Challenge and check out what all my talented teamies have been up to with their Christmas crafting. I look forward to seeing what you make for our Christmas challenge. Hugs, Wends x
