Sweet Stampin' ~ Dies/Punches

Hey there lovely crafty pals. It's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin' and this week, we're having a 'Dies & Punches' challenge. So here's my offering using a very gorgeous image from Saturated Canary from a few years back. I love this wistful 'new mama' image and it was such a perfect image to use for my friend who had a baby a while back. I kept the colours very soft and serene and I used a paper pad that incidentally, this pal had bought for me when she was visiting Sweden years ago! Yes, it's those delish Swedish papers from Maja Design's Vintage Summer Basics. I just love them and find it so hard to cut into any of my Maja papers to use! But when I do, I always LOVE how the finished design looks. They just bring something so special to the table. 

I coloured this image a while back, so it's been done with soft shade of Promarkers. I then traced around the image with another soft pale shade just to 'lift' her from the paper a bit. It's subtle, but it's there. My pal loves these earthy muted shades and really loved this card!

I used a beautiful spray of Wild Orchid Craft flowers to frame the image. I tucked in some lovely diecut leaves in kraft and Maja Design offcuts. These leaves and buds were cut with a Magnolia Doohickey Heart Swirl die. Still one of my favourite 'foliage' dies.

I used another Magnolia Doohickey die for the tag. This is from one of the Doohickey Magazines. I don't recall which, but it's a lovely wee tag die. I don't recall where the sentiment is from, I'll have to hunt through my stash.

The main image panel was cut with a stitched oval die from Lil' Inkers and the corner die in the top right is a Whimsy Stamps die. So quite a few dies in total.
