Whimsy Stamps ~ Penguin Snow Fun

Have you ever printed out your image and thought, that's WAY smaller than I meant to do?! This happened with this wee make. I thought I'd print 6 to a page of my Whimsy images and they came out teeny, way smaller than I would usually craft with, but the more I looked at them, the more I wanted to challenge myself to give this tiny canvas a go! I was freaked that the space would be too small to get copic tips into, and I must say it was close and careful work, but I did it!

I used a gorgeous digital paper designed by Crissy Armstrong as the backdrop for this sweet snow scene. I added a little glittery slope and a tiny Christmas tree, then popped the wee racers up on foam so they stand out from the background a bit. I added a white circle behind to give a spotlight effect and then realised it looks like they're racing a giant snowball!! Either way, it works!

I added a pelmet diecut across the top of the card with a snowflake icicle border from my stash and used an older Whimsy Stamps sentiment which I think fits this wee scene just perfectly. I'm really pleased with this sweet wee scene. Tiny really can work! I have to confess though, colouring the black in such a small space was really tricky. I fussy cut the image carefully before adding it to the card base. Such a sweet image, Crissy's critters really are the sweetest.

There are a huge number of stamps in this latest release and they're all absolutely gorgeous! I'll be back again soon with another crafty adventure, until then have a wonderful week. Hugs xoxo
