Whimsy New Release Fun ~ Mammoth Hugs

Swoon, this latest Whimsy release has me positively spinning! Have you seen the gorgeous release by Deb Davis?! Retro Girls and Comic Strip Dies and Stamps. OMG, I gotta have them all!! I also can't get enough of what the Digital have been getting up to, these gals just knock it outta the park every month with their incredible creations and we've three new awesomely talented teamies that have joined us for the second term of the year. Paint me excited!! I'm excited to share my sweet creation with you today too, because honestly, I've been crushin' on this lil' guy since Crissy first released him in rubber, so I am SUPER excited that this cutie has joined our Digital Vault!! We have an incredible line up this month of images that are joining the Digital Vault. You can check out the full line up and our Diva's Showcase here. So much gorgeousness!!

Now I know this cutie is a mammoth but who says I've got to colour him in browns?! Hubby had the rather inspired idea to colour him up in blue and I have to say I LOVE how this turned out! Especially when I paired it with the fab' plaid paper Denise created a while back for a Making Cards Magazine promotion. I was lucky enough to get that paper with my subscription, but it's available now in the Whimsy store too and it's a fab' paper set. I made a cute gift box in the paper too to go with this card. I'll fill it with sweets or something similar when the time comes to give it. A super cute set I think. I am thinking this will be a great birthday card for my wee nephew's next birthday. I really loved using my new shaped die too! If you know me, you'll know how much I love using decorative edge and shaped dies for cards, it brings something a little different to the table. So I was super excited when this gorgeous Nested Hexagon set came out, especially as it has the fabulous scalloped edge outer layer. LOVE that! I printed the image to fill the space as I wanted this lil' guy to be the feature, with no need for 'extras'. Just a simple sentiment to finish from the Bunny Balloons Stamp Set.

Thanks for stopping in today, I wish you a beautiful week and hope you're all staying safe and well in your bubbles. Things are returning to 'normal' here in New Zealand, with no community transmission of the virus, so it's been rather nice venturing out of our wee bubbles, seeing extended family again, resuming our Tuesday night family dinners. We have so missed them! I'll be back very soon with another crafty adventure and hope to pop in for blog visits very soon too. Hugs to you all xoxo

Love him, he is amazing!! Totally tempted to get him, but I don't think I'd make such a good job of him.
