Whimsy Stamps ~ The Good Life
Hey crafty pals, I had a little adventure recently, in creating a sweet card for my cousin who lives on a farm. She's a city girl at heart, but has made such a lovely life for her family on their farm and I'm often reminded of 'The Good Life' when I think of her and her hubby. I sent her this card recently and she was so delighted with it. I was really chuffed with her response!
This sweet image is a Pollycraft image called Birdie from the digital range at Whimsy Stamps and I think this was just the sweetest image to use for my lovely cousin's card. I used my Copic Markers to colour this sweet image and kept the design very simple. I tried a doily around the image and didn't like the white, it was too stark, so I used a Copic Marker to re-colour the doily a caramel colour to tone in with the glitter cardstock I used. I really like how it turned out.
I didn't want to add a sentiment as I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to say with this one. So I left it blank and it was perfect to just add my thoughts inside without having set a 'theme' on the front of the card.
There's not a lot else to say about this cute creation. I used the fun Honeycomb shaped die from Whimsy to create the card base and a bronze coloured glitter cardstock. You can see the shine nicely in this last photo.
Thanks for popping in to visit. I hope to find a minute to pop by and visit my crafty pals this week. I've not had lots of time lately but do so love coming for a visit even if just a quick hello. Big hugs until next time xoxo
