Whimsy Stamps ~ Halloween Is On Its Way
Hey crafty friends, tomorrow is Halloween for me here in New Zealand and I've been getting some treats together for the neighbourhood kiddos. It's been a wet week, so I'm hoping for a clear night for the kiddos. It was pretty wet last year, Spring showers, typical! So I'm popping in to share a few of the treats I've prepared for the kiddos.
This first treat bag is a simple one. I love a brown paper bag dressed up and these cute 'Mr Bones' cookies are perfect wrapped in this simple design. I topped the bag with a doily folded over top so half covered each side, then punched a couple of holes centrally with a hand held punch and threaded some cool Halloween coloured twine through and attached a simple moon tag with a wee bat on it. This tag was in my stash, so I think may have been left over from extras made for previous Halloweens. But the Primitive Shapes Moon makes such a great tag and a simple sentiment and a wee bat was all this needed to finish it off nicely.
I'm prepping the open dishes of sweets currently too, so added this pic for eye candy, hehe, get it?! I think the Mr Bones cookies look so cute in there!
I made a little 'Boo Box' for a previous Halloween and it fits these cute sweets so well, they some of my favourites. So I made up a couple of extras to go with the original Boo Box design.
I made a yellow box to match the little monster candies and kept it simple because the candy is a striking combo of black and yellow, so I channelled that in the creation of the candy box. I thought the monster looking so downtrodden and zombified from the Monster Parade Die Set was a fun option for this box and paired it with the Foolish Mortal Word Die Set. This die set seems to have been a real favourite for me this year. It just has worked so well for quite a few of my makes this Halloween! I didn't realise how many I'd used it on until just now!
This orange treat box I gave a wee pumpkin scene using a digital stamp set from Crissy Armstrong and some older leaves, which are perfect pumpkin vines, so forgive me that they're no long in stock. It was fun to theme the boxes to suit the candies, I think they look so fun and I'm sure some special trick or treaters will be pleased with their treats. They're so fun and look fab up close.
To see the details of the little purple Boo Box, check out the original post for that here. Thanks for popping in to visit today. I wish you the most wonderful Halloween. We are having a fantastic HOP to wrap up our Halloween term at Whimsy Stamps and there's some wonderful prizes up for grabs, so I hope you'll join us for that!
I've had such fun in the lead up to Halloween and of course I've totally run out of October! It's come up so fast! I still had cards I wanted to share, so there'll be more than one shared as part of the hop. I look forward to sharing those with you then.
If you haven't yet grabbed your free exclusive copy of the poem I wrote that was turned into a stamp for this Halloween at Whimsy Stamps, you still have two days to get it! It is free with orders over $50, but once our Halloween term is finished, this stamp set is retired and will go into the vault. It was a limited run exclusively for this Halloween. You can buy it if you don't wish to spend $50, but only for the next couple of days. Once October closes, the stamp retires. Have fun in the countdown to Halloween. Hugs and happy crafting, Wends xoxo

I do use affiliate links where possible, which gives me a tiny commission but costs you no extra whatsoever. It helps the companies I design for to improve their marketing practice and track my contributions. I am deeply grateful if you use them for these reasons. I am proud to design for the companies I do and always feel happy to share where my inspiration and where my crafty stash comes from. I am occasionally gifted products to use, but I only design for companies whose products I absolutely love and buy for myself. My opinions are always my own.)
