Whimsy Stamps ~ Last of the Summerween

Hehe couldn't resist that play on words for the title, did you ever watch 'Last of the Summer Wine'? It is indeed the last of my Summerween makes today though. I've had a crazy busy month, so didn't get any more creations made, but I did get all of them shared bar this one, so here it is my 11th and final Summerween make. I think this one is really sweet. As the sunsets on our Summerween celebration, I thought it highly appropriate to share this beautiful sunset sky with the Jack-o-Lantern enjoying some beach vibes. I couldn't resist using those cute lil' stickers from my stash on this make too!

I wanted to use another of the sentiments from the stamp sets, as I'd used quite a lot that were from other stamp sets on my Quick Card Front makes and thought this Ghouls Gone Wild one was so fun. But this scene is way too serene, so I needed some extra lil characters to pull it off! Enter these cute lil' ghost stickers from a set I picked up from a local store here in New Zealand that has a crafty corner.

The little cat is part of the same sticker set and I think he looks so cute tucked up there beside the Jack-o-Lantern. Loved the idea that this was the Jacks' familiar. I don't use stickers often in my makes, but had come to the end of my Summerween making and this was card number 11 with this set and I just wanted some little, something to complete the scene. I'd been hunting through my Halloween stash boxes in preparation for the upcoming Halloween season and spotted this cute sticker set. I think they are kinda perfect to complete this scene. They don't take over, but they add that little extra finish needed.

I kept the scene otherwise very zen and clean. I didn't even use a slimline frame die set for this one, I didn't want to trim away any of the slimline paper or interrupt that beautiful scene, so this was mounted as is, edge to edge on a slimline card base. I fussy cut the cute pumpkin from the stamp set, which I had coloured with Copic Markers. I added some scratchy plaid texture to the towel with a Staedtler Triplus Fineliner. I coloured the sentiment to match the hues in this gorgeous paper. This page is from the Just Beachy Slimline Paper Pack. I've used this several times during this Summerween release because it made a perfect backdrop for these awesome Summerween characters. So many gorgeous and unique beach scenes. An awesome pack if you enjoy making slimline cards.

We are in the last few days of Summerween. This promotion is only going for the month of June. I know we have sold out of the Quick Card Fronts and the full sets at Whimsy Stamps. There may be some of the full sets over on Scrapbook.com still. But if you had a favourite set, the individual stamps and dies are still available at Whimsy Stamps, but only until the end of June. There has been lots of magical inspiration shared for Summerween. We have had two awesome Guest Designers during Summerween too! Be sure to check out their fabulous creations. Thaís Carvalho and Susanne Nordström have shared some awesome posts during June with their creations for Summerween. We were so excited to have them Guest Designing with us, so be sure to check out the awesome creations from these talented ladies. Thanks for popping in to visit today, as I said earlier, this is my final Summerween adventure. So I will be back next month with something a little bit different. Hugs, Wends xoxo
