Pippi Longsocks

Hey there lovely blog buddies. I have a quick make to share with you tonight. I made this card for a friend's little girl who recently turned 6. I just love Sugar Nellie's Pippi Longsocks and the wee girl I made this card for has all Pippi's sass and moxi. So she was utterly perfect for a birthday make for her.

I just love working with Sugar Nellie images. They've been my favourites for a long time, but I rarely get to play with them due to other DT commitments, so it was fun to just have a play with this cutie for this make. I've coloured her with my Promarkers and cut the oval frame using a La-La Land Stitched Elements die set.

I've taken pics of Pippi in two different lights, so you get to see all the details and highlights. She's had a liberal sprinkling of Glamour Dust on her skirt and wings. Her wee froggy pal, has had a touch of Wink of Stella in Green added to his wee freckles. The lovely sentiment I've used is from a Kaisercraft paper pad called 'Oh So Lovely'. I just loved this sentiment and think it works so perfectly with Pippi. I fussy cut around the edge of the frame shape and stuck it down with foam pads for a bit of dimension.

I used a pretty white cotton lace over a ruffled ribbon and added a gingham bow with a wee glass heart charm to finish the card. The pretty card shape is of course Go Kreate Frilly #10. Still my favourite of the Go Kreate shapes. I think it works really well for this card. I used a fab lime green BoBunny paper from their Peacock Lane set called 'Bleu' to highlight her wee froggy pal.

Well that's it from me tonight. I've had a huge and very tiring day. Went ice skating with the kiddos yesterday, made waffles with them this morning and had lego adventures with them today and we're off to visit friends tomorrow so that the papa's can do a lil' guitar jamming!
