Christmas at Sweet Stampin' ~ Monochrome Christmas
Hey there lovely crafty pals. I have a few posts to share with you tonight. How funny, when all the dates fall at once! The first of my shares with you this evening, is this sweet Christmas creation I've made for Christmas at Sweet Stampin'. Our theme this month, is Monochrome. We are trying something new this month and adding an optional theme to give folks a starting point for their Christmas crafting. You can of course still enter with an Anything Goes entry. But we hope you like the theme.
I've gone for a Monochrome Blue creation. You are allowed to use skin and hair colours, as long as your creation is predominantly and obviously Monochrome. I've used two lovely Christmas word dies from Whimsy Stamps and cut them from blue glitter cardstock. These are sadly not in stock any longer. They were such lovely sets! I've also used an older Snowflake die also from Whimsy Stamps. I love the delicate nature of this snowflake. I added some beautiful sparkly gems to the card to add that necessary little extra touch of interest. My shaker element was popped up on foam, so have lovely dimension and I filled the shaker cavity with a lovely blue toned Christmas sequin mix from Little Things from Lucy's Cards similar to this one.
This sweet image is from Sugar Nellie. I've loved Marina Fedotova's images for absolutely years! So it's been such a joy to see her images now carried at Whimsy Stamps. If you love this one, they have an almost identical image in stock there called Anna the Fairy. You have to look very closely to spot the differences!
This is actually a very sparkly card, but it's hard to see unless the light hits it just right. The sentiment diecuts and snowflake sparkle and so do the lovely sequins. So although it's a very soft muted palette, there's plenty of pretty sparkle to lift it.
I do hope you'll come and play along with us this month and if you need some inspiration be sure to stop by and see what my talented teamies got up to. Their monochromatic creations are utterly stunning! Can't wait to see what you do for your Christmas crafting. Hugs, Wends xoxo
