Crackers for the Paper Door
Hey there my lovely crafty pals. This week is flying by so fast and our Paper Door kits are flying out the door! So I'm sneaking in a day early with my next Paper Door post to share this fun Easter cracker that I've made for my kiddos before our kits sell out!
I have seriously had the best fun with this kit and I've another card to share after this too. It's just so easy to create with these fun sets! I've created a little scene of three piggies at a trough having a good feed, to embellish this Easter cracker. I stamped the central image, then masked it to stamp the two either side. Easy peesy, but oh so cute I think!!
The fun lil' sentiment I've added says 'gettin' piggy with it', which I think is so funny and really quite appropriate for Easter with all the chocolate that abounds! This wee cracker is filled with yummy mini Easter eggs for my kiddos. Easter is one of their favourite times of the year, as we have some fun family traditions, one of which, is to have an Easter egg race! We live on a steep drive, so every Easter morning, we take our handpainted Easter eggs up to the top of the drive and have a rolling race to the bottom. Lots of silliness and fun ensues.

I inked the muddy swirls underneath the piggies using the stencil that comes with this kit. The pigs were coloured with Copic Markers and I created a 'trough' with one of the striped papers. Finally, adding the sentiment strip on top with a little foam tape for dimension. This year, my kiddos will have a couple of extra little treats with these handmade Easter treat containers. Which I think both the kids will really love. Georgie always loved the Marks & Spencer's Percy Pigs. This money-box was hers as a little girl from the Percy Pig collection. So this treat cracker will be hers and Zac will get the Angry Birds piggy treat bag I showed previously. A bit of extra Easter fun.
